My Daughter's Quilt - In Progress....

Luna.....there is a quilters foot that is for sewing the patterns together, then thre is a quilter/embroidery foot that is used fo ractual quilting. Take you machine to your nearest store that sells feet and other items for your machine and ask for a quilting/embroidery foot and have them show you how to put it on. Here they run around 15 to 20 bucks. If I can find a pic of mine (q/e foot) I'll post it

Here is a some what blurry pic but maybe it will work

THe foot is about 2 to 2.5" tall and has a round circle for the needle to go through. It has a small bar that goes over the needle screw so that is moves up and down with the needle allowing for movement for quilting. Mine is clear plastic but they are also made in solid metal also. I sure hope I haven't confused you.

Thanks for asking Nanakat! Nope. She came by with her boyfriend and I showed it to her as it is, and she really loved it! I made a chicken dinner and we had a nice visit. I'm starting on the solid black border tonight. Then I'm working on the back. I think I need to buy some more of the turquoise print. And you know I'm not walking out of that store with just that fabric.

Thank you welman, I'll consider that!

I put the 6" solid black border on all the edges! This pic show just a quarter of the quilt, it's getting big.

And I had 4 small star blocks that ended up being extras cause I was doubting myself and started to make the stars smaller than normal size! So I made a pillow for her bed or chair...........
