My DD ate my eggs that I was setting!!!!

Ok My whole family knows Im a freak about my chickens and eggs...So I put a carton on the top shelf pf my fridge to incubate next week-I told everyone hands off!! ( I insulate the carton so its not as cold as fridge) Ive been collecting my olive eggs-split lav silkies-and standard cochin eggs-...I get out of shower only for my 11 yr DD tattle on her sister and friend that they ate alot of "my" eggs.. I open the carton and wanted to cry.. 5-6 split Lav silkie eggs-2-3 olive eggs and 5 standard cochin eggs gone-in their stomachs! I wanted to cry and just bag the whole next hatch because of it! I said didnt the writing on all the eggs throw you? Didnt the big fat plain brown eggs on the counter look better than all those tiny ones-WTH!!! "Sorry mom I didnt know-you didnt tell us..." WHAT???? I have alwasy said do not ever touch the 18 pack cartons of eggs EVER-those are my personal hatching eggs...

OK Im done-I needed to get it out to people who would understand what I just went through-DD thinks Im completely crazy to get mad over "just a stupid couple of eggs"

Oh no, sorry this happened to you!

If this happened in my house, there might be eye pokin' and hair pullin'(it's just my hubby and he wouldn't dare tell anyone he took a whoopin' for eatin' his wife's hatching eggs).

i'll probably get into trouble with this but i would put the kid into the chicken coop as punishment and bring the chickens to the house for a treat!

maybe that will remind her about your rule with the egg carton!

my dh is good about not touching eggs left on the counter loose, he won't use them unless they are washed and in a carton under refrigeration.

Oh my DD would be in SOOOO much trouble after being plainly told to not eat them!! I'd make her help with the chickens for the next week to pay you back. That is just awful. Sad when the problem is you told them and they just didn't LISTEN!! Grrr...sounds like something my DD would do too! Sorry about your babies!!!!
