My Delaware Flock **New pics added post 25***

Yup go for the heavy weight. If you lose chest/breadth/width it's the devil to get back and both the other two are pretty narrow. Combs are decoration.

He's very handsome and I'm sure you'll get some really nice babies from him. Absolutely, the deep broad chest is what you want and he seems to be good in that department. Hey, if we had all perfect birds, we've already "arrived"! Best of luck with your Delawares!

what a good looking flock, and you took some good shots!

Thank you! I chased them around the yard yesterday and couldn't get any decent shots. It was all heads or tails.

I corralled them in their tractor this morning. I still had to take 47 shots to get 8 good ones. Stinkers kept trying to peck the camera.

Here are the pullets and cockerels from Bill Braden's eggs that I am putting up for sale. I did the best I could counting points on combs. It's hard to tell what counts, especially on the pullets, at this age.

She weighs 3lbs at 12 weeks, and about 6 points on her comb.

She's 2.875lbs at 12 weeks, with about 7 points.

I have no idea what to ask for the pullets. I only have 6 for sale and about 20 inquiries so far. lol
Every time I post up that I have eggs for sale, 5 people ask for pullets. They are all so pretty, it was hard to pick just 8 to keep. But I can't afford to feed them all!

Aye feeding them all is the catch.

BTW the German ShepHERD police have been alerted to your sig line and a wet noodle whacking is in order.

At this age I'd still ask for 8 or ten bucks easy on the Dels. Or push for a little more and see how desperate people are. Mine have usually gone anywhere between 10 to friends and upwards of 25 for people asking for birds I'd rather have kept... Kind of depends on how bad you need em gone.

Ha haha you are right. I better change my sig line.

I've been asking $20 or more for them so far. Just because they are from Bill Braden. My own eggs/hatchlings are much cheaper.
