My Delawares...they're all grown up.

i have 26 8 day old delaware "pullets" and out of 26 only 1 is all white...not even a speck of black....

she looks like she has little angel wings

shes actually laying in bed with me right now with one other one....

on your most recent picture are they really 16 days old?? mine are 14 now and a bunch of them have a TON of black in their wings....im thinking no bueno! only one has no black at all...and seem to like to puff up to and try and pick fights with the others....only 2 weeks but roo maybe? they are all supposed to be "pullets"

Ok, I've got WAAAAYYYYYY too many chicks in my house! These Dellies are growing super fast, and 19 chicks in a brooder in my office is starting to get a little gross! I've ended up with 11 Delaware pullets out of 11 eggs, and 3 roos and 1 pullet out of 4 Delahorn eggs. So super wonderful roo/pullet ratio. 3 roos out of 15...that's gotta be some kinda record. So now I've banded the ones I want to keep, and some of them have got to find new residences. Over the next week I'm going to be finding new homes for the 3 roos and 6 of the pullets.

Today there was a riot in the brooder, and Sparky got hurt....so now some of these have gots to goooooooooo! I just can't have little Sparky getting injured...and to think, she raised these guys!

I got all my Delaware and Delahorn chicks moved into the garage...finally. So things are MUCH less fragrant in my house.

Here's a few pics of various ones of them. They were 5 weeks old on the 3rd. In the following pics, they were only 4 weeks old.

And I have no idea what's up with this one's "frizzled" feathers!
