MY dog attacked my ducks and they ran out when he knocked down the fence and now there gone they ran in the soybean field and the soybeans arelike 4ft tall and there only 2 months.

They should come back if they are used to being fed there. We have had alot of problems with dogs. If they ever get the taste for your ducks, etc they will attack again. You may want to put them in an elevated pen or somewhere there is no chance of the dogs being able to get to them (i.e hotwire on the dog's side of the fence)

If I were you I would buy the dog a nice present. Like an electric collar. Properly used there is no more effective and fast way to teach him to leave the poultry alone. You can buy them very inexpensively on eBay.

I hope your ducks came back. My dogs would go after my ducks/chickens/guineas as well, but I don't let them outside at the same time.

Your ducks will be more likely to come back if you pen up the dog so it can't chase them away again. If the dog is still out, I don't see them willing to approach.

Best of all, can you stick the dog inside the house until the ducks come back?

Yes i got him a very nice new electric collar and the came back yesterday but i could only get one i hope they come back agian he can stay in the barn for awhile

My ducks get the backyard and the dog ONLY goes out in the front yard and other prescibed areas where the ducks are not. There is a fence dividing the 2 areas. Good luck getting your ducks back and learning to run a tighter ship this time. I really feel so sorry for your ducks. I hope you can protect them better this time if you get them back.
