Both of these dogs, their parents, and their pups are all fairly heavily built dogs. You may be on the right track with an aussie shepherd or smooth haired border collie cross somewhere back. Your dog looks leaner in the body, but maybe not. How much does your dog weigh? May have to do with regional breeding. Good looking dog though- enjoy!

Jareds,

Your female has the same exact stance as my guy! That's so funny. I guess he could be pure blood. He came from a farm breeder who just breed specifically for working dogs, not for breed confirmation. He's a great listener and leaner for the most part. He definitely has a mind of his own though. he's not that great with strangers either, which isn't always a bad thing. We just have to be very careful with company, especially children.

my dog came from a place that was breeding for working dogs too. This guy is into power, so the stud and my dog both are about 60-75 pounds and tough as nails. My dog HATES strange dogs- will run off males when she's in full heat. Great dogs though. Mine works cows for me and saved my life from one trying to trample me last winter.
