My dog died yesterday :'-( Update:rescues

Sigh, took him for an autopsy today...blunt trauma to the left lobe of the liver-it looked like someone had taken a knife to it. He hemorrhaged. The rest of him was perfect inside. We have no idea how it happened. He was only 2 years old

A kick, a car, something falling onto him or him falling onto something. I think that the petsitter (who is fired) is hiding something but without irons rods & a rack, I don't think I'll get a confession.

I reread you first post and have to wonder how the sitter knew Wesley had a sore stomach ? Wesley tell her?

She picked him up for a cuddle when he came in & he yelped so she checked out his stomach & it hurt him to have it touched. At this time she should have called me or the vet. She didn't & he suffered for 12 hours before dying

I'm very upset over this. If it was the US, I'd sue her but it doesn't work like that here & nothing I do will bring him back anyway. I don't think that she did anything to him but I think she knew what happened & was too afraid to tell me because I would blame her.
