Yup, they do love to snack on poo don't they?

Fresh and warm and gooey, or frozen, hard and chewy

My mom used to call em poopcicles when we'd catch our beagle eating poo. my bloodhound brought me a huge chunk of frozen horse poo from my neighbors house. She was so proud of her self she buried it.

I often wondered what drives an animal to eat poo.

I like the idea of letting the dog clean up the yard of chicken poops. She's apparently going to eat it anyhow -- I may as well learn to see it as a SERVICE instead of fighting it.

The dog had to be seriously trained to not lick me (hands, face, etc.). Obviously, given her other habits, I felt this was very important. We now have an agreement - she doesn't lick me, but she is allowed to lick the air near me. Her tongue still goes, but it only very rarely makes contact.

LOL- add to that list "dogs own puke" and that's my dog too! Easiest way to clean up his mess... he cleans it up.

Eeeew. Nice thread.
Luckily my dog doesn't have access to the chicken poo and he doesn't eat his own. Although, when I came home tonight he had eaten some of my mail and puked it on the mat by the door.

We have a sick chicken on our porch in a small cage. we think she has Marek's Disease. Tonight our puppy dog ate some of the chicken poop. Can the dog get sick or catch it? ALSO Can my kids catch it?

:)Well the chicken must of ate grass so it comes out the other end and can't eat grass and he ate the poop and it made him sick to his stomach:)
