Goodness, the ironic thing is, your rooster looks a lot like my first one (maybe only a tad smaller than yours, and with a longer tail) and the golden retriever I'd gotten not long before him was a red girl too! They didn't get along though, she definitely lived up to her breed's name a bit too much.

What breed was your roo?

I am not sure he was a gift from a old family friend ,and he couldn't hear very good so I just accepted the rooster with out question's.
