My brothers dog Bruzer is trying to kill my chickens.
Here is my Situation my older brother moved back in with his 2 dogs one is a pit bull but she loves the chickens the other is a springer and he wants to kill them all. I bult my own chicken coop that holds 9 chickens and I can't afforded electric wire or that really strong chicken wire stuff my dog has to go out 3 times a day and soon I will go off to school so i won't be there to protect them. Don't suggest to kill the dog or to get a muzzle I can't do that so any Ideas. Please help :(

Do whatever you can to ensure that the dogs cannot get to your birds. If you cannot keep them safe, perhaps find them a good home.
Tell your brother that you did not HAVE this problem before he moved back in with his dogs.
He should help with the cost of pen security, in my opinion.

Springer Spaniel is genetically bred to go after birds. You can't trust them around birds. I had one for years and did NOT have any poultry until after she passed of old age. Even if you did not have the dog problems, your using only light type chicken wire puts your birds at risk of other predators, too. I would rehome birds if you can't get dear brother to help with higher security.

Springers are hunting dogs and are stimulated by the movement. Even a solid panel of something that blocks the sight of them would help. Tarp or that corrugated plastic roofing material. I have a Coonhound who is (now) very calm around the chickens. Until they start to flap or move. Then he loses his mind.
