Awww! Rusty looks a lot like my Dinah -- who has learned that nuzzling a full-grown chicken, even when you mean well, can get you pecked in the face!

Thank you! it was his first time, he been with then since i started hatching, i was just worried he jump off the couch and drop them.
Dinah, Wont stop till she gets want she wants My dog miles the other dog he got pecked in the eye, no harm done, he avoid them Now!

I couldn’t do that with my pup. He is 70+lbs and thinks he’s just a little lap dog. He has no clue how much he throws his weight around. I just let him sniff the chicks while I hold them.

Likewise my other dog is 70 pounds and thinks hes a little dog! sniff is is good! What worries me is after the sniff? There is a lick of the tongue..

Thank You, his breed was made to chase squirrels up a tree. Well i think all dogs will do that at some point in there life?

Not from my boy. Haha. He has been taught not to lick. And he gets sent away if he seems to excited.

Good Dog.. My rooster found out early at young age is to avoid even trying to go for him, my rooster watches western movies and he knows when to get out the yard before sun down! My crazy rooster when younger would sleep in the tree and was a small growing tree, not very big yet that i could trim, i got sick of all my birds in the tree and trim it down..
