I looked at the laws in my state.

And it seems that my other idea was just as bad.

I was going to just release my extra male and let the two live happily ever after ««««« illegal too.

To be honest, I am applying for a wild game breeders licence, so I don't want to jeopardize that by catching the female and all of the legal implications...

So, I will deal with it some other way.

There are disease and genetic concerns related to releasing captive birds.
