My drake is a massive A-hole! Help?

I had to do the same thing with my two drakes. I cried the first time. I had to hold his little head down 2 minutes. I had to do it a few times, it was not a one and done. Now they run to me in a nice way. One big drake is dominant over the flock but has never given me any problem. It was the young ones I had the issues with

You didn't hurt anything except their pride - which could use a little hurting.

Update: I have held him down two times now (I only do it if he actually tries to attack me). He still comes up to me and follows me like hes going to attack but now when I we have a stand off he seems to think better of it and backs off. I'm sure it will take a few more times for him to fully be chill but I think we have come to an understanding. We also have agreed that I will no longer pick him up and or pet him except when neccessary (much to my sadness) which has also helped our relationship. It does mean that I snuggle girls a bit more to make up for not getting to touch Mr. T's Ultra soft head.
