My Duck eggs are shrink wrapped - Please help!

Here is a photo of him. My husband has our mash in the trunk of the car and he won't be home around five so I was going to mix a little honey with plain yogurt as I saw that on a thread in here and try to feed that to him. How often should I be checking on him and trying to feed/water him? I am being kind of a hover mom right now and checking constantly.

Dont worry about feeding it especially if it has unabsorbed yolk.
Should'nt be opening the incubator as you'll release what humidity there is for the other eggs.
24-48hr to hatch after pipping for ducks.
Just keep an eye on the little one and keep it warm inside the incubator until its dry.
Congrats on your little one.

His yolk sac is half the size it was 2 hours ago! I am feeling a little more hopeful now. He keeps trying to get up and walk if I'm in the room. How do I know when it's the right time to take him out of the incubator and put him into the brooder?

Yolk has been mostly absorbed. He is able to move around a little but he can't walk yet. One leg seems a little weak and he opened up one of his eyes about 2 1/2 hours ago but the other one is still closed. Hoping he will get some strength.

oH MY!!! He looks just like the one I hatched yesterday...2 days early, yolk sac unabsorbed. Thought he would die. The inner membrane was like a sheet of glue. I had to unstick the shell from his wing after he had full hatched. I too have given sugar water...wet paper towels to keep moisture while the yolk is doing whatever it needs to do. Mine is getting stronger..not walking...sleeping a lot. My fingers are crossed for you and your little ones.

I'll keep my fingers cross for yours too! Every few hours he seems a little stronger. I've started him on the mash mixed with pedialyte, I held his neck up so he could get to it easier and he took some big drinks. He moves himself in and out of the light depending on what temp he wants but he still has trouble standing. His other eye opened a little too! I will be happy if I even get 1 out of the 3 I have so I am really hoping for him. This forum has been a lifesaver!
