Is aspen bedding bad for duckings? I have always used pine, but they didn't have any so I bought aspen (never cedar)... I was cleaning the brooder this morning and most my babies feetsies have ouchies... This ones the worse. Been using the aspen for 3 days

are you sure it's the Aspen doing it??

My preference is bed pads or puppy pads, they can easily walk on it, it Absorbs moisture when they go and do there smacking thing in the water and I don't have to worry about any issues with there feet. LOL

It's the only thing "new"... Before I even posted I had cleaned the brooder and put a towel back instead. Can I put something on that? I've never had these problems before!

Aspen is what some have used with no issues that's weird. your ducks are just special they want special treatment. So I'll answer for them, NO... LOL

Man do they ever!!! I clean out the shavings every day and still they can't leave it clean for an hour! So don't put anything on it?
