I am surprised he is not in shock because I am . I love ducks . Shine a bright flash light into his eyes if his pupils are kind of jumping around that is shock setting in . It is very hard for me to explain . If it's only skin tear and you have some stitches maybe you could clean him and sew him up and say some prayers . If a vet is not available you have to do what you can also warm him this will prevent the shock from taking over . Hope this helps

He is in warm water now, should fill it up more, less?

If you don't have stiches you can use a regular needle and thread I have had to do this in the past just make sure you alcohol the thread and needle pull the skin together and pretend you are sewing a pillow case shut one stitch at a time . Just put the needle through both skin sides and pull it together and make a knot , cut the thread and go about 1/4" over make another , and another until the wound is closed! this is all I know to tell you .

FIRST hose the wounds off. You don't need anything but soap and water. Squirt some liquid shower soap directly onto the wounds, then use a shower sprayer to flush away all the dried blood and loose tissue. It's free and doesn't require a trip to the store. In fact, you already have everything you need to treat the wounds for this first step.

Be brave and just do it.
