So I have two female ducks, one Rouen and the other we think is a Swedish crested. The Rouen duck has been laying eggs since last October we think (this might be pertinent info). For the past week, she has become really vocal. Short, excited squeaks and longer loud sperts. I don't know if something has changed, I don't even know if this is a problem. But it would be good to have confirmation

I can't seem to get a video up.

She also is fluffed up a lot more and speeds to places. Is this also attributed to brooding behavior?

Not yet, though she is burring her eggs under the hay we have in their house/shelter.

my other duck has also been bothering her while she is laying.

Sounds like my girl when she is broody or about to go broody. We call it her, "angry quack." It's almost like her regular quack but like she needs to clear her throat and with lots of squeeky quacks, too. She runs around hunkered down, fluffed a bit, quacking maniacally.

Perfect description! That's how my broody acts. We say she's yelling at everybody.
