My 9 month old fawn and white female runner duck is making very loud squeaking quacks sometimes very randomly, although she just made the sound three times in a row a couple mins ago, these squeak-quacks are much louder than her normal quacks or chitter, is this normal? Does she possibly have something in her mouth when she is making these sounds? If anyone has any ideas on why she might be making these noises I would appreciate hearing them.

Does she have water deep enough to wash her face in? Are you thinking something is wrong like stuck. In her throat.
Yup she does, they've got two big buckets and two swimming pools, honestly I have noticed a few of my girls making these squeaking noises randomly as well it doesnt look like they are choking when they make these noises and they continue to act normal and go about their buisness, it is just very startlingly loud sometimes and much different from their normal quacks

My runner female has been doing the same thing. She needed up congested and coughing more frequently, so I put her on Respirex antibiotics (same as Baytril plus decongestant) and she's much better. But it's day 10 of meds and she still does the squeaky sneezes here and there, usually about 3 in a row. Anyone else have any ideas?

Do you think the sneezes are related to her illness? could it be dusty bedding or feed?
Was this Baytril prescribed by a vet? usually, 7-10 days is the max for Baytril.
Yeah it's the same sneezes she's had this whole time. None of my other 4 ducks have this, so I doubt it's a dust/feed issue. I do add DE to their feed, but not enough to make it really dusty. Not, I had the Bayteil on hand from when one of my other ducks had a similar problem last year. In her case it cleared up after 5 days of meds.
