My Duck Likes Me but not my family

So he’s not happy? Why he wags his tail?

Yes, he wags like a dog.
We like to give human emotions to animals. I provided a link that explains why ducks wag their tails. I would call some of the tail wagging as happy - to give it a term- but watch when he does it. He probably does it because he is getting what he wants or sees something that interests him. As well they do it to flirt and to dry off.

I’m wondering does this duck have a female to hang out with?
no, he is the only duck. But there’s a female pet duck across the street at our neighbors house. We sometimes let him play over there with her.

well, yea. I pet him and play with him. He wags his tail. I see what you mean though.

Hmm. I wonder if he’s just lonely. I’m fixing up my chicken yard so I can lock up my birds. I recently lost,as in just up and disappeared, two ducks and a rooster. Now I have only one duck and I feel bad for her. She must be missing her friends.

Yes. Ducks are companion animals and should have a duck friend.

The drake just miss us and plays with us. I’m sorry about your two ducks and rooster. :(
