One of my hens just suddenly stopped laying eggs when i brought new ducklings around she has never seen the babies, just heard them in the brooder. I don't know if she thinks they're hers or if shes supposed to broody at the moment or what is wrong with her. I have only had one egg a day for almost two weeks, and raise these ducks primarily for their eggs. If someone can give me an idea of what is happening that would be great!

My ducks aren't of laying age but when I moved the babies brooder into the coop the one laying chicken quit laying for two days and two others tried to move out. I think any disruption from the routine can affect them. They'll probably get over it eventually.

She's about a year or so, and it's been almost two weeks since I've had eggs from her.
As Miss Lydia said, she could just be taking a break. Is she molting? That would cause her to take a break as well. Is there any way she is hiding eggs? Twice I have had girls I thought stopped laying but really they had a secret nest outside the coop. They would cross their little legs in the morning and wait until I let them out and wasn’t looking to visit their nests and lay. Ducks can be sneaky in the spring!

I locked them all in the coop and I'm hoping i can see if she's laying them elsewhere.
