My duck was attacked HELP!!

A good vet is best, if you can get help.

Yes, keep him away from flies. Keep him in as clean an environment as possible with plenty of fresh water. His appetite may be a little off for now, make sure he has good food, but I would put vitamins with electrolytes in the drinking water twice a week for now.

Saline solution rinse two to four times a day can help alot. Vetericyn spray is also good. Some prefer the saline.

Storey's guide recommends trimming the feathers around the wound down to half an inch long so you can see what you are dealing with. A little time in a lukewarm tub of water may help. He needs to be checked under the wings and around the vent for puncture wounds.

Where and when did this happen? Predators come back. Make sure everyone is safe.

I want to thank you all for your help! My duck, Wilbur btw, is doing better. He was bitten pretty bad and still is having problems moving his neck and eating but he is healing well. I'm keeping a close eye on him and hope he will be fully recovered soon. Thank you all again.
