My duckies

Pekins are very sweet...that's what my Paul was...they can get big though! Youtube some videos on male and female ducks and there are lots of vids of them quacking. Hens are MUCH louder...like those hunting duck calls? That's what they sound like. Drakes sound sort of whispery and raspy.

I have Perkins ducks there my babies and I love them my females hatches about. 15 eggs every year.
I'm back from picking up my ducks. I feel like I rescued them. Their hatched September, and their feet and beaks are Pale. Their Skinnier than skinny, and their feathers are in bad condition.

I put them in the bath, and their alot happier and cleaner. My job is to start packing the pounds on them.

i felt the same way when i got some of my ducklings , the company selling them was poking holes through their webed feet and the ducks are now adults and their feet never have healed(they said the reson they were doing this was to identify the duckling, but its not that hard to tell the diffference between and indian runner and welsh harlequin !!)

They've never healed? can you get hold of a product called Nu stock? some feed stores carry it, and you can order on line. it has great healing properties and is natural.
