My Duckling Got Red Skin Near its neck (pics) Is it a disease ?

I would also be sure that it's not medicated chick starter, or some special duckling feed

no medicated feed just in case bc some medicated feeds can be super bad for them

@Dean321 What youyr feeding your ducklings isn't a balanced diet. and their health is going to suffer for it.. They need to be on a feed that is formulated for poultry do you have stores that carry poultry feed? please buy some for your ducklings they need to have food and water 24/7 right now and until they are at least 6 weeks old after that they can go through the night with out eating and drinking. Duckling can get all kinds of health problems from not getting adequate nutrition like neurological problems to weak legs so feed is very important. I'll get you a link on caring for ducklings.. That sure is an adorable duckling

I do not think your duckling has skin cancer @Dean321 actually never heard of ducklings having skin cancer if your worried take the lil one to a vet. I think changing diet and losing it's down and growing feathers is going to help this lil one alot. And not everyone can get duck food so if you can't get it and have to go with Chicken starter don't worry just add some good quality poultry vitamins to their drinking water making sure the vitamins have the necessary vit. B's that duckling need for strong legs and brains, mainly niacin. Or if you can get some Brewers yeast add a sprinkling over their fed daily 1 Tablespoon to 1 cup of feed. till 10 weeks old.
Please keep us updated on how they are doing.. Oh and if you can get coconut oil you could try rubbing some into it's skin and see if that will help with the redness. Coconut oil is really good for the skin.

I'm pretty sure your baby is fine

It's true that some medications are toxic to waterfowl, but feeds medicated with amprolium and/or bacitracin are fine and will not harm ducklings. :D
