My duckling is attached to the egg

Great not as much falling anymore
how is the naval looking?? That was quite a mess before. Has it all been aborbed?

Listen I know this thread is a few days old, but this is quite worrying to have read through.
Wrap it in a paper towel and put it in a mug and put it back in the incubator. Hopefully he'll absorb it.
You were quickly given good advice, advice that can save that little life. And you never responded to it. Instead, later you reply to the thread again showing the duckling still on the floor of the incubator, in a bad situation. You recieve the same advice again, and then later reply:
I’m worry now
showing more photos of the duckling still in a rather bad situation. Seemingly having not taken the advice given....
And more people say again what you should do for the baby. The next post you make is showing the duckling on wood shavings.

I'm not sure if you saw the advice, or if you had followed it after replying, but premature chicks often die when the yolk is broken, or left open to infection. It is absolutely critical to put them into a cup, into a little nest of paper towels, back in the incubator. So that they can finish absorbing, and cannot be harmed by other chicks.

It's so important, when you make a thread asking for help, to reply and to take the advice on board.
Hopefully all is well now. Wishing the best for you and your duckling.

I just want to add that wet paper towel can cause the baby to cool down
If I have a little one that has yolk left I place baby in the lower half of the egg
Wrap the egg and baby with dry paper towel to help keep baby upright and comfy while it absorbs
Then place that into a small cup or bowl. You don’t want the air to directly blow on the yolk and dry it up so it can’t be absorbed
You also don’t want a baby loose moving around and chance rupture of that yolk
If you can’t get baby in the lower half of the egg then wrap baby in dry paper towel and place laying in a small bowl

Only 12 days old
