My duckling loves Peas!!

Great! Thanks for the info. I tried the peas, smashed them up alittle and they nibbled at them. I am in love with these little buggers. They hop right up in my lap and snuggle. If they weren't so messy and my dogs didn't want to eat them I'd keep them inside forever!!! It will be a sad day in our house when they have to move outside.

yeah Melons are a BIG actually HUGE favorite in the summer months. I refridgerate the melon so its nice and cool and then cut it in half and put it in the pen and in no time there is nothing left but the rind LMAO

Watermelon is only second to peas...which I think are crack for ducks. Other good treats are lettuce, clover, shredded zucchini, and cabbage. Only a few of the ducks will eat tomatoes. Same with strawberries.

When I bring out anything fresh, My ducks have to wait for the chickens to strip it clean before they get to it, Even when I bring out 2 bowls the chickens think it's all for them, so I am thinking peas in water will be only for the ducks, that way they'll feel special

that is so cute MM, I put out fresh peas this morning in warm water and guess what the chickens came running and ate all the peas that were floating, now the rest are just sitting in the bottom of the pan, the ducks and goose won't even look at it.

This is their first time with peas so maybe it will take a while?

My ducks had no idea what to do with peas the first few times I gave them to them. Now they are crazy about them!

Mine all go to bed nice and easy too since peas got introduced as an incentive.

Mine also like cucumber but not the rind, so they only eat the middle bit!
