Sounds like she has imprinted on you. Just like my Runner ducklings when they lose sight of their mama they peep their heads off till she comes running. She is now weaning then off of her and when they peep she doesn't come running. They are now 4 weeks old but there are 2 of them so they have each other. Yours being an only duckling is more needy since they are flock animals they need each other for security. Your this little ones security.
