My ducks are 3x' bigger and splashing EVERYWHERE! Help, lol

They are almost 2 week old and are SO big! I can't believe how fast they have grown. Anyways they are making a mess on their brooding pen! ALL day long they splash in their water dish and go threw about 2 gallons a day. I heard if you raised the water up some it would help, so I placed it on a large bowl and it doesn't help! They still splash just as much and go threw just as much water. Is this normal? Is there something I could do to minimize the splashing? We're going threw pine shaving like crazy over here!

They're just being ducks. Ducks are messy and grow much faster than chicks do. I use puppy pee pads in the bottom of my brooder for them but as they grow the mess is only going to get worse. Mine are most times outside already by the time they're 2-3 weeks old so the mess isn't really an issue then.
