When exactly does the smell start? As soon as they start to smell they MUST go outside! I want to put them in the garage when they start to smell because the duck coop hasnt even been started yet. They will just have to stay in their large dog cage at night. When they are moved out there Im going to put a blanket over the cage and leave the front open. When I woke up today my first thought was: Will the car fumes kill them? Throughout the years Ive had several rabbits live in cages in my garage, and they lived just fine. I know ducks repertory systems are delicate though.
Why only one? they are flock animals and really need other ducks to thrive and be happy. Do you have a safe place set up for her outside so when she is old enough a predator won't make a meal out of her?
