My ducks are nipping each others necks, Is it mating behavior?

So I just noticed this morning. My ducks are nipping at each others necks is that normal? I was thinking it might be mating behavior but I haven't seen them mate and they don't lay eggs, so would it be normal for them to do that?

Yes its normal my drake's do it all the time it's a dominance or mating it depends on what you have drake's and ducks or just drake's just ducks of what the behavior means

its mating then how old are they ducks start to lay between 18&21wks

They are eighteen weeks.
So they should start laying soon
