My ducks first time on the pond- lotsa pics!

Thanks guys! We sure had fun watching them. We all set out for duck launch at 9am. Coffees, snacks and all set up by the pond for us. hehe Periodically I go check on them today and they look like they were born on the water. Sometimes they will come up to the side a bit but mostly they stay in the water. They stay in their duck huddle though.

It was a breeze. At 7 I heard them calling for me (quack quack!) making a ruckus. They were all on the shore of the pond looking towards the house quacking. I said come on guys, come on home babies. And I squatted down and kept calling and they ran right to me. I gave them their supper, filled up their pools for a before bed bath....and now they are hanging out by the house waiting for 9pm...their bed time. hehe Ducks sure love routine! If I don't get out by 9om...they put themselves in their house and wait for me to close the door. I am out by 9:30pm though- before dark.

Your pond is lovely, as are your ducks! The pond seems made just for ducks, plenty to explore and eat, but no snappers!

Beautiful pics, ducks and pond! I've enjoyed seeing your pics since they were babies, and it looks like they're enjoying the pond. Almost makes me want to put one in here, but I think I'll just keep the plastic pool for now
