My Ducks Have Left Me!

This didn't just happen but I would love for my 5 runners to come back home. I see them everyday in the pond but they never come over here. I put out food and they still don't visit, we have a duck house for them to take shelter in. They also are starting to lay eggs only one has actually made it in our yard, the others are in the neighbors' yards and I am not happy.
Does anybody have advice?

Will they come to the edge of the pond for treats? You might want to start a thread in the duck forum. Maybe someone there will have some good advice.

Sometimes the call of the wild, is too strong for ducks to disobey. They also tend to join other flocks they encounter. Casportpony has given you the link for the duck thread. Hopefully the folks there will have a solution for you.

Watch where they are sleeping. Wait until night. Go kidnap them back, and pen them up so that they can't just take off again in the morning.

Yes, they hang around three other ducks now.

I agree you should wait till they are asleep and kidnap them and pen them at home.

I hope you find a way to get them home. Do they have any favorite treat you can lure them with? I have never had ducks but some friends do. Do they have a pond on your property?

Do you have a small pond in your yard for them, so that they won't be so attracted to the pond across the road? Duck's love water.
