Watch where they are sleeping. Wait until night. Go kidnap them back, and pen them up so that they can't just take off again in the morning.

Everyone here is always ready and willing to help with any questions you may have. Or just to chat and have fun!
I tried putting ours on our lake, it's about 250 yard of forest with just one trail to and from it........they beat us back to the coop -_- through the woods. It was crazyness!!
You could try to build a pen by the lake with a house food and treats in it and wait until they get comfortable in it and then lock them in one night and transfer them back... but they will never been truly happy, like they are on the lake. If they love it enough to not come home, I would just put some chairs and just sit and enjoy them at the lake.
