My ducks have watery diarrhea, & Hot beaks what do I do?

ducklings not being raised by there mothers should not go swimming till older as they don't have the natural oils from contact with their mothers. Ducklings are tiff bet if they get wet to their skin and are in a cold drafty area before dry again they can get sick .

Hope there do well again soon. Ducklings get oil s from contact with their moms. Being raise by there Moms has its advantages. Such as go swimming earlier with out getting their skin wet they can take some cold drafts.human raised duck lingss have to wait until they can produce their own oils

My ducks are only about 1-2 weeks old they have just started to have watery diarrhea and hot beaks. They eat normal none medicated crumble chick feed which also states it good for Ducks to eat. They sometimes get to run around in the yard but there is no way they could have gotten into poisons we keep all of that put up and not in our yard. We also have chicks who eat the same food they do and they never have diarrhea. Please help me they also go swimming in a small rubber waterer but it's always clean I clean it out before they swim in it.

Is it actually diarrhea? Ducklings drink a lot of water and their poo will be more watery.
I have read lots and gotten lots of advice from byc members who have successfully raised their ducklings into ducks. It is fine to let ducklings have a bath in luke warm water for just a few mins at a time even at 1-2 weeks. It is true that they don't have extra oil from their mom, but you need to keep an eye on them and make sure they are in shallow water so that they cannot drown. As well, a few minutes is all they need so that they don't get chilled. I got my ducklings at 1 week. I was very worried, but then gave them a shallow Luke warm bath at two weeks old. They enjoyed it and it was fun to watch them preen afterwards. When they were done, I made sure they were back under their heat lamp and on dry fresh bedding. They are now 5 weeks and doing very well.
Now, if your ducklings truly are sick, then, I would keep them out of the water. As well, what is your food and water set up? Ducks need water deep enough for their nares to dip in and even eyes.
What do you mean by hot beaks? Are they under a heat lamp? Do they have enough room to get away from the heat lamp if they are too hot?
