I thought this would be fun. So farm my spring ducks(pekin) like the followwing. (about 13 weeks old)

Broccolli Plants
Radishes
Peas and pea pods
THey love To nibble on the Alfalfa hay bales beofre bed time
Green leafys from the fridge!
Chopped bell peppers and Cores and seeds.
Cucumber peelings!
Sunflower seeds and sprouts!
Flies!
Corn on the cob(especcally with corn ear worms attached)
Wheat grass clippings!

This one suprised me
Succelent green tumbleweed plants.

They prefer food with Porcine meal in it over feed with majority soy source.

I think they eat gungus knats but my eyes are not good enough to tell.

My 4 week old runners are watching the older cool kids and are learning to eat the same stuff other than one thing. THe molted white pekin feathers.. They have been cleaning them up! Growing like weeds. They get plenty of protien I think they find the white feathers interesting. They don't pick on each others.

My Muscovy hens went NUTS for apple slices!! My little niece wanted to feed them the rest of her slices but i had no idea they would love them so much. but i guess our old ones used to pick around the apple trees after the apples would fall, lol.

Where on earth did the ducks get all that food in one week?
Do you run a restaurant?

My ducks eat pretty much anything...apart from carrots, they really don't like them.
The odd things that suprised me that they go nuts for are:

Oranges
Salt and vinegar crisps

Woka

My indoor duck's favorite foods are:

corn
cherries
tomato
peaches
plumb
banana
feeder fish
apple
pasta
chicken
turkey
squash

Things he hasn't been too fond of:

fruitloops
quinoa
oranges
special k cereal
blueberries
raspberries
cucumber if there is any peel on it
cantalope

I haven't tried a huge variety of stuff for mine yet, but I do know what they really love!

Favorites:
Dry cat food
crushed strawberries
grapes
thawed peas
whole wheat bread (very rare they get this, this is mainly a treat for my neighbor's turkeys but the ducks get what i drop )

Things they like that i've tried :
corn
string beans
chopped squash
peaches
watermelon
cantalope
apples
pears
plums
rolled oats
cherrios
weeds out of the garden (surprisingly they dont mess with my daughter's flowers!)
and....i think thats about all i've tried so far. But since all the gardens around here are doing exceptionally well and we're harvesting more than squash, stringbeans, and plums from the trees soon i'll be trying more stuff and now i have a couple lists to try stuff off of !

My Q's favorite food is.....

whatever we're eating.

But she really likes

Cheerios (goes NUTS for them)
Goldfish crackers (treat only, but she LOVES them)

feeder guppies
feeder crickets
feeder mealworms

popcorn
collard greens
turnip greens
escarole
dog/cat food
bread (only occasionally)
yogurt
applesauce

But she DOESNT like corn/peas/greenbeans/carrots.
