My ducks stopped laying

I live near Portland Oregon and we’re very close to the recent fires. It was extremely Smokey here for a couple of weeks. During that time my ducks almost stopped laying altogether. Since then they haven’t restarted. I’m assuming it is because of the smoke but I don’t know for sure. We also have a new brood of ducks that are just reaching maturity - would a larger flock size influence laying behavior? Any ideas would be appreciated.

I also live near Portland and had to evacuate from the fires. My chickens laid through the smoke but for the last two days egg production is way down. Yesterday I got 3 eggs from 9 hens. Autumn is here and daylight hours are shortening. I wonder if the smoke just accelerated the natural break from laying.

That’s an idea I haven’t considered. My little Campbell has continued to lay more regularly - she’s the only one - and that breed is mor prolific. Hmmm...
