My ducks webbing is completely gone!

It looks like there is just a little bit of blood around one or two toes, but other than that, no! And he was fine last night! I'm so confused and feel so awful for my little guy. 💔
I’m sorry this is happening! Maybe he will grow a new web. Does he seem to be in pain???

Could there have been a rat or mice in the basement that did this?
Omgosh, I didn't even think that. I do have pet rabbits, and one of them gets out often. I hope that's not what happened, that one of my rabbits hoped into their pen and could have done this!!

He doesn't seem bothered with it, but then again he is always skittish around anyone. So he may just be on alert since I have in the living room with me and my kids right now.

Something like rats may have chewed it off, or if you live in a warm region, it could have been fire ants. You can apply an antibacterial ointment or silver sulfadiazine cream to the area, but I don't think a vet trip would be needed in this case. It may affect the way he swims, but it shouldn't interfere with his daily activities too much.
Thank you so much. It breaks my heart to see him like this, but also relives me to know that he should be OK in the long run. I'm going to put him in the back right now to see how badly it does affect his swimming. 😔

Yeah! If it doesn’t bother him I think he will be okay! I had a duck and she lost webbing because a brown recluse spider bit her and she is still going strong!!

I would suspect if the damage was done by a rabbit, it would be more sloppy. I very well could be wrong, but the damage looks very delicate. Do you ever have ant problems in your basement? Rats, or mice would be my second guess.
