My Easter candy melted...

ok... so it's NEVER this hot in Illinois this time of year... last year it snowed for crying out loud.

I bought my kids Easter candy and I left it in the back of the van because a time did not present itself that I could bring it in without them noticing.... then I forgot it. Today the temp. in my car read 82*. We were on our way to a park play date to meet some friends this rather unusually warm Spring break.

And I had an awful recollection all of a sudden.... THE EASTER CANDY!!!!


With the girls strapped in their seats... I popped the trunk and ran the bags inside... it was too late.... their chocolate bunnies were melted and more like some trippy scary psychedelic bunnies.

I know I'll be able to laugh about this sometime but man, I did not need this on top of every thing else.

You know what that is? An opportunity to eat all the melted chocolate yourself!

Well you can remelt the chocolate and pour into rabbit molds! Or eggs that you can fill it with some kind of creme filling!

Chocolate covered strawberries yay! we had this happen durning the egg hunt, poor hollow eggs, kids got over it though.

hey... that's an idea... the strawberries were on sale cuz they weren't looking that pretty... covering them in chocolate could work.... and then i'll put those beady yellow candy eyes on the strawberry..ha ha..

If you live near a bulk store buy s tiny bit of white or pastel chocolate and drizzle them, kids would have a hoot eating them for breakfest
