very pretty all the same

You don't think Arizona looks like a cockerel, eh? S/he is very similar to minion, only...prettier, I think. Lots of variation in color. One of my favorites. I'm really pleased that everyone seems to think Coco is a lady (my daughter will be too!). She was our first one hatched and was pretty, though mostly brown, as a chick. We called her our redhead. Any way, I always thought she was a pullet, until this past week or so, when she started getting a little more of a vibrant brown-red on her shoulders. Hopefully that is just part of her pattern and not an indication of her actually being male. I read that somewhere (about red colors on shoulders being a sign of roosters). What do you think?
I have never experienced my roosters colours being a thing that shows they are indeed a roster ^^;

I'm going to try this one last time (having trouble starting my own thread). I have read and studied this website, trying to determine the sex of my easter eggers, and I have my theories, but I am a beginner, so...any help would be appreciated (and is very needed). What do y'all think, pullet or cockerel???

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Ok I think that minion and rocky are boys and the others are all girls. The only one in not certain about is Arizona its hard to see the face, though I'm leaning towards girl. Keep us updated when they start to lay or crow

For now I'm just going to stick with the two.. Would love to see full face views of the others though. =)
As far as the red coloring goes, from what I've read it's mahogany red you'd be looking for.

All are very lovely!

Edit: Just saw the latest picture update, I'm saying pullet for Arizona.

Rocky and Minion are cockerels. I'm on the fence about Arizona. I had a similar colored bird that I wrote off as a cockerel early on due to the coloring, she turned out to be a pretty hen who gave me huge green eggs....

I'd love to see pics of Arizona in another month or so to see what happens. Of course, if it starts crowing, you've got your answer

Thanks for all the input, everybody. I have been talking about chickens incessantly lately, they're on the brain! My boyfriend thinks I'm losing it, lol. I am having fun, though. I am definitely glad that you all agree about Sunny and Coco being a pullet, as those are two of our favorites. Also, I am super glad there is hope for Arizona--such a pretty bird! I just signed it off as a boy, so it would be a lovely surprise if we were able to keep her (*fingers crossed). My daughter, of course, wants to keep them all! They have been entertaining, to say the least. Very friendly birds.
