It sounds like you have a nice flock! Good luck with your chickens. I don't think the egg with a hole in it is anything to worry about: it was probably just a fluke in shell formation (relatively common).
 
Thank you for putting my mind at rest. It was a shock when i saw it and was worried it was something id done wrong. I was also worried about hazel hen incase there was anything wrong with her! Hopefully her next egg will be fine! Thanks again for your help and kind words xx

It does look like shell formation error. Likely this will not be a problem. But if you do see more, let us know.
 
Hello :frow and Welcome To BYC! X3, looks like a defect in the shell that was more fragile than usual, hen might have got it with a toenail.
 
hi, I've had the same problem from a barred rock i have practically every time she lays. it has the bump on the end and is sometimes closed off, and other times there is a hole in the bump. if i pick at the bump, it falls away leaving a hole. what could cause this to be a regular occurrence?
