MY EGGS ARE FERTILE!!!

I just had my first visit with a fellow BYC'er and she showed me how to candle the eggs that my little 10 ounce turken is sitting on. 7 of the 9 are fertile FOR SURE and the other two may be just new ones that she collected. How does a 10 ounce bird sit on 9 eggs!!!!!!!!!!! I am excited!!

There is gonna be chickens!!!! I am hatching for a co-worker whose wife wants to start fresh because hers are too old to lay much anymore. She may be getting 9 instead of the 4 we thought she was sitting on.

Ummmmmmm.......is your Turken a bantam I suppose? I have never had any until the two babies I have now, but hey are HUGE!! They tower over everyone and weigh probably twice as much.

I never heard of a bantam Turken, but she is full grown egglaying bird. She must be. She can fit in my hand
