My Eggs Are Here.. Too Many for Bator!

My eggs are here! In a buying frenzy I ordered three dozen, a dozen each from 3 sources. Everyone sent extras so I do not have enough spots in my turner for 2 eggs. Can I tape an egg into the turner positioned between some others? Can I glue a piece of an egg carton onto my turner as an extension? The eggs are resting before I set them. Any ideas would be great.

Some people have just laid them on the side of the turner where there is extra space, and then just hand turned them until they candle and can cull some bad eggs, then slip them into the turner in their places

Wow...I'd try what your suggesting but maybe someone else will chime in that has had this problem and knows a better answer.....Don't want to mess up your turner......I know I wouldn't toss them cause you will probably have a few clears when you candle on day 7 so thats out!...can't waste a good egg!...

I would do exactly what Lonecowboy said. If you try to attach the extras to the turner in some way you run the risk of overburdening the turner and burning up the motor.

Well I was still high on my Serama hatch so I ordered Silkies, Naked Necks with the possibilities of some Showgirls and some Sizzles. I like funny looking chickens! Ihave 2 extra eggs. One is so porous I don't know if I should place it in at all. I think some of the silkie eggs are small enough that I may be able to squeeze one in between and tape it in place.
I don't want to keep opening the bator to hand turn.

Yeah, I understand about not wanting to open the bator and turn. It's a pain in the butt!!! It really won't hurt the eggs, but I don't like to do it either.

I would go ahead and set the porous one. I got an entire dozen of porous eggs a while back and several of them hatched, so there's a chance your will, too!!

You sure are going to have an interesting mix of chickens!!!

Isn't it fun to have some of everything!!!!!

I had a few too many one time, so I just laid them along the side with the most space until I had clear eggs that I took out.
