My eggs arnt hatching

Hello my eggs are on day 26 and they haven't hatched but there all fertile and are ready to hatch but I've waited and waited but nothing shal I crack open the eggs to see what's going on please reply soon what shal I do :rolleyes:
 
How many eggs do you have? Is it possible that you could have twins that cant get out on their own?
 
Hello :frow and Welcome To BYC! Do you have chicken or duck eggs due to hatch? If you are on day 26 with chicken eggs it is very unlikely that anything will still hatch, if you have duck eggs you probably have at least a few days to go depending on the breed. So sad it has been 29 days so given up cracked them
Open to see if twins all if them were dead only
4 looked like chicks so upset :(

This is my first time hatching. I had 24 eggs. 16 have hatched...2 didn't make it so I have 14 live chicks but the remainder haven't hatched. Heard 1 chirping in its shell this morning but nothing showing yet...the first one hatched on Tuesday evening and the remainder hatched by supper time yesterday. How long should I wait to see if any more will hatch? I read that we should open dead chicks to see if we can find out how the died but how long do I leave them in there before opening them? I don't want to open a live chick but don't want a mess leaving the dead ones in there...
