My Eggs just Hatched so I got some Pics!!

Wow,lucky! I crawled under so many holly bushes to get those silly girls eggs before the buckets it isn't even funny.

We gave them a couple of options to choose from. We mounted 4 milk crates on the side of the building (2 in one spot and 2 in another) and put a metal roof over the crates so they wouldn,t get wet from rain. The other option, we converted an old dog house into a 4 box layer house that we put in the enter of the trees. One hen chose one of the milk crates and one of the other chose the house.

It's a metal band and I can't remember what it says off the top of my head, but I remember being told that it had to do with her bloodline.

Yes, they help the original breeder or a buyer know her parents, her full breed, and the breeder. As an example, one of my chickens is the son a Brown Red Jimmy East Grey cross, and a brown red McLean cross. His bands or a certain number, written in a book, that tell usexactly who his parents are, and who their parents are. As most people write the numbers in books, it’s be close to impossible to track the band, unless it has more than numbers on it. If it had certain letters/names it might be able to be traced, since they had to enacting those bands online.

They look like Rhode Island Reds, but I'm no expert. Nice looking rooster though, hens look a little thin. But I'm sure you'll remedy that.
