They're beautiful! I might be able to save you some trouble,my game hens never used boxes they always laid on the ground. They had boxes but weren't interested, finally just put bucket on their sides and chocked them so they wouldn't roll and they seemed ok with that. :)
Thank you, but 2 of them are using their boxes now. I just have one that is still on the ground and she is sitting on some eggs. I hope after she hatches them next time she will use the boxes also. Fingers crossed anyway. I just do not want them getting wet, it rains a lot here and the ground stays wet and mushy.

Such a pretty rooster! I'd say he is a black breasted red, (BB Red). He kinda looks a little like a Wheaton Game, (Not bantam), but that's not very common, so i'd mostly be betting on the bb red. I'd also say thats what his hens are too, probally a cross of some sort though, difficult to say. Most game owners who plan to fight them cross breeds for size and power, so theres a small chance they'll be purebred.

Wow,lucky! I crawled under so many holly bushes to get those silly girls eggs before the buckets it isn't even funny. :)

Thank you for your thoughts. One of the hens has a band on her foot, any thoughts about how or if those can be traced.
