You can give her a daily tablet of human calcium citrate 600+vitamin D to help expel whatever might be left in her oviduct while at the same time help to form stronger eggshells.

Try for a period of 7-10 days and see if it helps.

To prevent her from getting a messy butt you can trim back some of the fluff so the droppings won't get stuck so easily.

Around about two weeks ago. She had fenbendazole.

I have calcium here so I'll try that again.

I often wash her feet and legs , so keeping her fluffy clean is easily done, she's clean today.

From what you say, your hen probably had a shell-less egg she was having trouble getting out. Eggs without shells are very difficult to get out.

Go by her behavior. When a chicken behaves normally, she is doing well now. @LaFleche has good advice. Extra calcium will help. You also did well to give the salt/honey solution. That stabilized her.

That's a bit of comfort to know, she had to have had the whole egg considering how much she was covered in it.

Go by her behavior. When a chicken behaves normally, she is doing well now.

She doesn't like the rain very much and was in her coop for a while but back outside now.

@LaFleche has good advice. Extra calcium will help. You also did well to give the salt/honey solution. That stabilized her.
