my emu sounds congested

So, this morning my emu sounded congested, and at first she didn't want to come out of her house. After some words of encouragement, she came out and was her aloof self. But should I give her an antibiotic or something?

How do you know, your emu was congested ? did it cough...any chance she had a stange object, like a stick, big apple or anything similar in throat ? or food it not had before.
Antibiotic would not solve this problem, but as you say, you found her well (aloof ) later. Give it plenty of fresh chopped veggies.
Good luck, just keep an eye on her / him and check the surrounding on ground and house.

I agree with calla feel of her or his neck all the way down I have had one of my Juvenal emu get rock stuck in the neck but you will feel a lump ,I also had one eat a light bulb , they are ok but I had to get it cut out , good luck
