My English Orpington Rooster sounds like he is snoring. He looks great otherwise. He is walking around very slowly. When I went to catch him and isolate him, he did try to get away from me. Any ideas?

Check his nostrils for any blockage such as feed or dirt, and also for nasal drainage. Look inside his throat with a light for any object or tissue obstructing his airway. Respiratory diseases can cause noisy breathing, and other symptoms to look for are nasal or eye drainage, swelling around an eye, wheezing, rattles, coughing, or sneezing. Gaping or gasping can be common also.

He now sounds normal sometimes with his breathing, but off and on sounds congested. He coughed up some mucus. Anybody have any ideas of what this is?
