My experience with BOSS--Black Oil Sunflower Seeds

I want to get some BOSS for my chickens and horse to share, but I read somewhere that the ones you get for the horse shouldn't have the statement "vitamins and minerals enriched" on it. I looked at the Pennington brand of BOSS and it says that. What brand do you use that is just plain BOSS with no additives?

Not only do my chickens like BOSS, but I feed some to our goats, too. It makes their coats shiny and soft.

im glad my chickens like boss because a friend of mine that works in the grain buissness dropped off about a thousand lbs of it the other day. i went out and bought several metal trash cans to store it in. all my other containers were full of cracked corn and milo from a previous visit. im sure my chickens apreciate there new "seedy" friend. i just need to make sure that layer feed is the bulk of there diet. im guessing with near 40 birds i should have enuff treat stuff for the long cold winter.
