Mine don't get much fruit and they still don't lay.

Our chickens love watermelon, have been eating them for months. They eat everything in the garden, apples, pumpkin, squash, figs, you name it and they eat it. AND we are still getting 10 1/2 eggs a day from 11 hens, one hen lays every other day. We feed them all the scraps from the kitchen. We feed them everything! They LOVE grasshoppers! Unfortunately our coyotes LOVE chicken.
