I noticed this a few days ago, but it's probable that it's been going on at least a week or two and I didnt notice. I did scare my roo into flying and crashing into her about 2 weeks ago, and I thought she broke her neck or something, cuz she started running really weird, but then seemed to be ok just shaken up.
Anyhow now I'm looking at her right foot and cant tell what's wrong.
She lifts her toes upward on the bad right foot, and puts her foot down very gingerly with lifted toes and then they kind of settle flat. When she's takes steps she uses that leg quickly and often stands on her good leg for a few extra seconds before putting foot down. She also tends to put injured leg/foot in front of or crossing the other.
This being said, she still runs when she needs to, and can still jump a few feet off the ground without much issue. But I can tell there is something wrong. Any ideas or suggestions on what I need to look for or test?
I'm really sad that it's my favorite hen, she's the most to breed standard and by far the friendliest bird I have. She's the only one that let's me "pet" her without much fuss.
